The Berkshire Hills Chorus recently participated in the Region 1 competition at Symphony Hall in Springfield, MA  April 26th. This year the chorus ended up going on stage without a director and managed a 5th place finish having earned 490 points. This is the highest score the chorus has received in over a decade and an increase of 33 points over their last competition in 2012. Knowing the Plan is the new motto. Not only did they not have a director, they were missing several members due to illness, injury and other various activities. The 19 members that did go on stage did an excellent job, which could have only been enhanced by the missing members.  The fact that they had no director did not detour them, but only sparked the fire to do the best they could, they knew the plan and stuck to it!  The judges made note of this stating, “Risk Takers” and “total chorus trust”.  With new co-directors Gail Wojtkowiak and Pat Feldman on board, the sky is the limit…. Can’t with till 2015!
