There is nothing quite as satisfying as performing for friends and family. We can finally “show” them what we have been working so hard on these past few months. So when some old friends were visiting this week, and it happened that we were performing, I got this precious opportunity. On Tuesday night, outside at the Pittsfield Common with an awesome sunset behind us, we performed an hour of old and new repertoire. It was also an opportunity for us to try out a new sound system for just these occasions. It all came together perfectly…weather, sky, music, sound…and it happened that one of my friends is an excellent photographer and captured it all for us. The entire crowd enjoyed the beautiful evening and we all walked away blissfully into the sunset.
Wow. I didn’t even know there was such a glorious sunset. On the other hand – the folks sitting in lawn chairs and smiling and clapping were, indeed, glorious! Great evening.
